Ingredients for bitter gourd recipe
Bitter gourd 500 grams
Onion 1 medium sized
Tomato puree a cup
Garlic Ginger pest 1 teaspoon
2 Green chili chopped
Coriander powder one spoon
Turmeric Powder One Teaspoon
Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tablespoons
Cumin 1 teaspoon
How to make bitter gourd recipe (karela recipe)
– Wash bitter gourd well with water and cut it into thin thin round shapes and remove seeds in between.
– Prepare tomato puree and cut onion long and also cut green chilies
– Now put oil in a pan and heat it. When oil is hot, add cumin seeds and fry till they crackle.
-Now add onions and green chillies and fry for 1 minute (don’t fry too much, keep it raw)
-Now add ginger garlic paste and roast for 1 minute.
-Now add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and cook till the tomatoes are slightly soft.
-When tomato becomes soft add bitter gourd and salt to taste.
-Now close the lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
-Now open the lid and stir the recipe. Bitter Gourd recipe (karele ki sabji) is ready to be served.
