Fish Masala Recipe | How to Make Fish Masala with Dry Gravy

Katla fish is easily found in the fish market of India and due to the low price of this fish, more and more people prefer to buy this fish. Ingredients for Fish Masala

Fish 500 gram

Onion paste 1 tbsp

Garlic Ginger 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder one teaspoon

Fresh green coriander 1 cup

Oil 2 tablespoons

Coriander powder one spoon

Red chili powder 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder One Teaspoon

Tomato 2 medium sized

Green Chili (cut from the center)

 

How to make Fish Masala

-To make Masala Fish, first wash the pieces of fish thoroughly with two water.

-Now put oil in a pan and heat it. When the oil is hot, add the fish pieces to the oil and fry on both sides for 2 minutes.



-Now after frying the fish pieces, place the fish pieces in a separate plate and then put some more oil in the same pan and heat the oil.

-When the oil is hot, add onion paste to the oil and fry for 1 minute.

-Now add garlic ginger paste and cook for 1 minute.

-When the onion and ginger garlic spices are fried under , add chopped tomatoes, green chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder and turmeric powder, mix with a spoon and cook until the tomatoes are soft.

-When tomatoes become very soft, add coriander and salt to taste and fry for 1 minute. (If the spices have dried too much and are burning, add 50 ml of water).

-Now add the fish pieces and cook it on medium flame for 2 minutes while stirring with a spoon.

-Turn off the gas after the stipulated time and leave it in the serving pot.

Fish masala thick gravy is ready to eat with roti, paratha or cumin rice.

Suggestion

1.While frying the Katla fish, keep in mind that we do not have to roast the fish pieces for a long time, 1 minute from one side and then 1 minute from the other side.

2.We have used both green chilli and red chili powder in the Masala Fish. If you do not like eating more chilies, do not add green chilies.

3. We have added chopped tomatoes in this recipe, which is better if you use tomato puree.

4. You can prepare this recipe in any oil, but if you are making it in mustard oil then it tastes better.
